Craving for some
tasty foods life has to offer?

Well, if you're tired, hungry, waiting for almost 2 hours for someone (it doesn't make sense!) , I figured to try this one out.

It's not practical but it has a lot of awesomeness.

There is nothing better than a full stomach right?

Anyway, I heard that this place was also owned by the same group behind Yellow Cab Pizza. You can easily tell by looking at their set up. But I'm not really sure if Yellow Cab Pizza really owns ANB+B. You guys Google it!

So here's what we ordered:

Large Libertea Iced Tea (P65)

Double Burger (P195)

Chicken Soft Tacos (P135)

Total Damage= P395

Total damage was not that bad considering it's enough for both of us. (However, if you're with a guy, prices may vary) HAHA

3ml's After the Break-Up Theory #4

Break-Up Songs

Yessir! Yesmam! Going through a break-up is tough, especially when you love music or keep relating your relationship to a pop breakup/love song that you think was solely written for you. Once you've heard a song pertaining to your heartaches, you became emotional. When you're emotional, you're vulnerable, that's why it's really hard to deal with it.

Majority of people who are addicted to love songs are women. Women are more emotional and vulnerable when dealing with a breakup. They listen to it with passion, guilt, regrets, and sorrow. They absorb every words, every lines while singing in their minds.

So what are the songs most women (or even men) have in their playlist? Let's see.

Maroon 5

Better That We Break

"I’m not fine, I’m in pain. It’s harder everyday. Maybe we’re better off this way? It’s better that we break.”

Chris Brown

Say Goodbye

"There's never a right time to say goodbye. But I gotta make the first move.'Cause if I don't you gonna start hating me. Cause I really don't feel the way I once felt about you.”

Beyonce

Irreplaceable

"Baby I won't shed a tear for you, I won't lose a wink of sleep. 'Cause the truth of the matter is replacing you is so easy.”

Coldplay

The Scientist

“Nobody said it was easy. It's such a shame for us to part. Nobody said it was easy. No one ever said it would be this hard. Oh take me back to the start.”

Justin Timberlake

Cry Me A River

"You told me you loved me, Why did you leave me all alone. Now you tell me you need me, when you call me on the phone. Girl I refuse, you must have me confused With some other guy. Your bridges were burned, and now it's your turn to cry, cry me a river."

Boyz II Men

End Of The Road

"Although we’ve come to the end of the road. Still I can’t let you go. It’s unnatural, you belong to me, I belong to you."

Adele

Someone Like You

“Never mind, I'll find someone like you. I wish nothing but the best for you too.'Don't forget me,' I begged. 'I'll remember,' you said. 'Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead',”

In general, I think women are more emotional than men and most guys don't like that kind of music (Unless they're emo and they listen to emo punk/core songs. That's a different type of people because they're extreme when going through a breakup. It's true! Look at their wrist.)

Anyway, whether you deny it or not, a lot of you men and women are forcing the issue just to relate your hardships through a song.

Just always remember! Listen to your heart, not what others say. It's their lives, not yours.

3ml's After The Break-Up Theory #3

Social Media Insinuation

Everybody knows this. I mean, why does everybody do this? Well, emotionally speaking, I think it's normal. People seem to have such a habit insinuating their feelings by means of social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube (well, there are some of them posting videos showing how they really feel), and Friendster (before it was defunct) instead of talking to them directly.

The first couple of days after the break up, there is something in your mind that you want to share to someone but you couldn't figure out how. So what you ought to do is turn your PC on, connect to your favorite social media websites, and spread the word.

Some people wouldn't mind sharing it to their friends and family but still, they couldn't help expressing their feelings through Facebook and Twitter.

In some cases that you can't express your feelings and you don't have the right words for it, there's a tendency that you'll call for help, a help that (Tantananan!) @ihatequotes and @damnitstrue can provide.

Here are some examples of quotes from Twitter via @ihatequotes and @damnitstrue

Everybody is different. Everybody has a right to do what they want to do so why bother.

But in reality, you can't bring back relationships through social media insinuation. There's got to be more to life than this shit!

3ml's After The Break-Up Theory #2

Dead Malice

This is where the word "Dedma" came from (I just found this out earlier). They also call this as "Patay Malisya."

Well, as I said, not all people relates with this but it's very usual to every relationships.

All I'm saying is that most people (especially the guys) denies the fact that they are hurting. Of course, they're guys! Who wants to see you crying and frowning in front of other people, right? Really, does this make you less of a man?

Anyway, boys will be boys. They'll just hide it to themselves.

After the breakup, some guys tend to do nothing. All they did was thinking about their women, ex-women so to speak.

As a contrary to that, men usually hang out drinking like a G6, meeting a lot of people as they possibly could and so forth.

But at the end of the day, they're still very much carrying the burden of the relationship they've left behind.

On the other hand, women tend to stay at home and pretend that everything is okay. All they did was to look on their ex-boyfriends Facebook page, ignoring their phone calls, text messages, and so on.

But more often than not, women usually go out to bars with their girlfriends and not to meet other people unlike men. You know, "girls, they wanna have fa-han" (repeat this 2 times and you're gay). Dancing all night long and ignoring everybody else. Then after partying, where else? Starbucks! Having girl talk until the sun rises.

So what would they say if you wanted to communicate with them and try to get him/her back? NOTHING!

"I wanted words but all I heard was nothing"

3ml's After The Break-Up Theory #1

A relationship breakup, often referred to simply as a breakup, is the termination of a usually intimate relationship by any means other than death.

Wikipedia said so.

A breakup is something that every relationship has to go through if both of you are not happy anymore whether it's a mutual or painful breakup.

3ml said so.

When breaking up in a relationship, each person SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED.

Christopher Lao said so.

Okay, here's the deal. I'm not writing this blog because I just had a breakup with my girlfriend or I will have one very soon (because I'm not). I just have a lot of thoughts on information about what people feel and do after the breakup.

So basically, these are just my opinions and these are NOT based from my experience.

It's all about constructive and sarcastic criticisms put together in one.

These are the things that people often feel or do after the breakup:

Everything Is Gonna Be Okay

Instantly after the breakup, there's instances that you'll just gonna agree to the decision that was made because both of you are in a stage of having an inflated ego. This always happens after a big argument.

Here's an example

Girl: Yada yada yada...break na tayo! Akala mo!
Boy: Ah ganun! Edi sige! break kung break!
Girl: Talaga! I don't want to talk to you ever again!
Boy: Okay lang sakin!
Girl: oktnxbye!

See??? Both of them are saying things without thinking.

But after a minute, hour, or day, they pondered about the things that just had happened. Deep in their minds, both of them are thinking that everything is gonna be okay. He/She will call within the day or the day after to try to work things out and talk about the things without getting angry at each other. It really depends, though, whether they choose to reconcile or end it for good.

How To Make A Relationship Work

1. Understand that every relationship is different. Don't compare your relationship to anyone else. Not your parent's, not your friend's, not your co- worker's, not any other family member's, not that couple's relationship that seems perfect all the time, not anyone's, not previous relationships, because that won't help and can destroy your relationship completely!

2. Work on your relationship every single day. Do your part to contribute towards the relationship and keep it going and moving along. Maintain the relationship in every way possible. Work on strengthening your relationship, enriching it, in every way possible, on all levels possible, and in all areas possible (emotional, verbal, psychological, physical, etc.).

3. Get mental! The emotional, verbal, and psychological sides of the relationship are really more important than the physical or sexual aspects of the relationship. Work on creating, developing, strengthening, and enriching the emotional foundation or aspect before any physical involvement occurs.

4. Use the help available. You have lots of resources to use as an advantage to making your relationship better: Internet articles, magazine articles, and books are various examples. There are tons of these that are just specifically dedicated to giving advice about relationships. Use them! Whatever you can do to improve, enrich, and strengthen, your relationship (with the help of the resources available), do it!

Extra Tips

Remember, relationships are a two-way street, there should be two people involved. So you could do everything you possibly could do to make it work, but if the other person isn't putting in their very best effort (or at least some effort at all) then it won't work out. You both have to actively participate in the relationship and keep it positive to make it the healthiest and best that it can be.

Every couple is different. There is no "right" way to make a relationship work (or a wrong way either). Every couple makes up their own love rules, love habits, love routines, love agreements, etc. Whatever works well for you two, works best for you two.

A good tip is to not become completely absorbed in the relationship. Both partners should have their own group of friends, so no one will feel smothered. At the same time, make room for your partner in your life, relationships are all about balance.

Chic-Boy Timog Avenue

This is the first time that I ever visited the place. If it wasn't for SOPIZ, I'll probably never get a chance to eat/drink here. The place was great except for one thing... I hate how their service system works. Instantly after you order, you pay for it right away. YOU ORDER, YOU PAY. YOU ORDER, YOU PAY. It's a little bit irritating especially when you're going to split the bill evenly. Now that SUCKS!

We enjoyed the night, though. Thanks to Sopiz because they really had a great gig that made people rockin' and up on their toes. Even @madafak3r can't take his eyes off her, literally (There's a shred of evidence to prove this). Catherine go also greeted the soon-to-be birthday boy, @ryane92, who also had a small bond with the "waiter of the evening". We made a song request (Science & Faith by The Script) but they don't know the song so WTH. But one thing is for sure, @akosiajong loved Catherine Go so much. Even though he just checked in at Adonis, the same time he was in Chic-Boy. HAHA

Sopiz performing songs from Adele, Kings of Leon, and Eraserheads.

Overall it was great, but not excellent due to the order now, pay now scheme. I will definitely go back here unless Sopiz will jam, together with Dante and Lito.

How to approach a girl you really like?

Whenever you're in school, at work, or partying on your local bars, there's always a time that there's this one girl that you pay attention to. In layman's term, it's called CRUSH.

More often than not, a lot of you people are shy to draw near to that person because you're afraid of being rejected. Yup! It's true. That's probably the most common problems any men would encounter.

But in most cases, if there is someone that you like and you're not ready to tell her about it YET, within the boundaries that your capability allows you to, then you can be friends with her, right now at least.

Okay, what do you think is the most proper way to approach the girl that you really really like?

These are the steps that could help you with your problems.

Disclaimer: These are just my thoughts and opinions, and some stuffs that I've read from the internet so if you don't concur, I don't care.

1. Be confident but not arrogant

One of the most important tips that you need to keep in mind. Just be yourself. Don't pretend to be somebody else. The way you walk, talk, and the way you present yourself to her. Don't overdo things and you need to overcome your shyness. Always remember that nervousness is something that should be kept at bay. Otherwise, you can just forget about winning her over.

2. Maintain correct body language

Women from this generation are really observant nowadays. They can easily figure out a person just by observing your body language. For instance, playing with one of your earlobes, sweating, drying up of the mouth, etc. Another thing, though, don't you ever get your cellphone and pretend that you got a text message or you're texting someone. That's very inappropriate. That simply gives an indication that you are nervous. Always maintain a positive body language when you're talking to her, you know, back straight and shoulders square, don't shrug! Avoid excessive hand movements and of course...wait for it...stop looking at your stupid watch or cellphone time and time again.

3. Maintain eye contact

Look at her straight in the eye, but not in a horrible or freaky way. It was said that one of the main reasons why girls rejected guys is because they couldn't maintain a proper eye contact. When you're looking at her square in the eye, especially when you talk to her, can be a sign of self-assurance. On the other hand, when you avoid a person's gaze, that can be a sign of weakness and girls don't like that, especially when you are talking to her. But if you do this the right way, she will be impressed by you.

4. Start a great conversation

After you've successfully overcame steps 1 through 3, you need to start a great conversation. So what do you think is the best topic to begin with? It's really up to you. You need to get more information about her so you can open up a lot of things that you can talk about and vice versa. (You should open up too). Remember, don't argue with her.

Listen to what the girl has to say. Use her answer to your initial comment to lead into other comments or questions. Show an interest in her answers and talk more about her perspective in the ongoing conversation. If it seems to be going well, say something like "Oh, by the way my name is...JV." At this point, if she is enjoying talking to you she will answer with her own.

When you're in the middle of the conversation and both of you are having fun, don't you ever use a pick up line! Never! Come on, it's day one. Don't be a jerk. That's older than old school. Never walk up and say something corny such as, "You must be tired because you have been running through my head all day." WTF! Girls usually hate that, except for the fact that John Lloyd said it. Anyway, my point here is that you shouldn't make her feel that you sounded desperate and appeared too interested in her. Don't break the ice with some stupid punch lines. You can always tell some jokes or funny stories but not like that one.

5. Don't listen to what other people say

Whether it's from your friends, enemies, colleagues, or whatnot, don't listen to every negative words they say. If they tease you, make fun of you about the feelings you have for her, then be it. They're not the one you want, right? Just do what you have to do until you succeed with your mission.

6. Be friendly

Keep this in mind. Don't. Rush. Things. Start your relationship in a friendly manner. Talk and act naturally to her. Don't you ever get to the point where she thinks you're getting a little way too far. She will be uncomfortable when this happens and UFC (unproportional friendship and companionship) will arise.

7. Get her number

Decide at some point. If things are going well, then ask for her number. This is a make or break situation and a lot of guys are scared to do this step. Honestly, it's quite difficult but like I said, if things are going well, why not ask for her number. You can at least tell her that you've enjoyed talking with her and ask if you can give her a call. (Or you can give her a text message, add her on Facebook, or chat with her on Skype)

After you finally got her number, call or text her within the day. Do you think it'll sound too desperate? I don't think so. The rules on this have changed over the years. Before, you have to wait 2-3 days before calling a woman after she gave you her number. Not any more. These days, women are going to think you've moved on and so will they. I think you should call her right within the day after getting her number. After all, by giving you her number, she has shown that she is obviously interested. So call her and let her know you're interested too before it's too late.

8. Look good and be yourself

Your personality and your looks go a long way in helping you win over a girl. Ruggedly dressed men, weird hairdo, and full-on beard have never been the one to win a woman's heart. Well, some women likes that. (unless she's weird and likes cavemen). Dress smartly, maintain basic hygiene, and look good. Just always remember to be yourself while approaching her. Pretenses can be a big turn-off for many women, so don’t take any chances.

Overall, it's all about believing in yourself. I think that's the most important thing. Every men have their own skills when it comes to women. They just never know when or how they're going to use it. If you think you have it, use it wisely. Don't be a douchebag.

Always remember that "Optimism is the foundation of courage."

I hope this shit finds you well.

Quote From Jack Handey

"Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, it is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."

Who The Hell Is Christopher Lao?

Ah, okay! He is the Chinese guy (not sure about his ethnicity) who descends the waist-deep flood in Mother Ignacia, Quezon City a couple of days ago.

I saw this actual news 2 days ago and I think...

This guy rocks! NOT! This dude is so dumb that her mother will gonna spank him in the butt when he gets home.

This is the dumbest explanation you'd ever get from a decent guy like this one.

He totally blame it to the government, particularly the MMDA, because he said that there's no MMDA person around to warn people not to cross the road. (That sucks!)

I think this guy thinks he's Frank Martin (The Transporter).

Or maybe... he thinks he's a superhero, a superhero without a common sense.

Or maybe... he needs to go home to take a shit.

Or maybe... he needs to go to the gym to work on his muscles. (Wow, that's a very urgent matter)

Or maybe... well, that fitted shirt won't help him gets his way out of there. I think he's just frustrated like any driver would.

But come on! Nobody would ever do that.

At least he's now famous. Thanks to social media phenomena because he's now trending on Twitter or maybe he now has his own Facebook fan page right at this very moment.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!

Check his video out!

LSS Song Of The Day

The Script- Nothing (Drinking Version)

The Script is getting a little closer to Coldplay. Don't you think?

What's Your Favorite Local Drinking Place?

1. Cheesecake, etc. (Eastwood City Walk, Quezon City)

Okay, I know what you're thinking guys. Cheesecake, etc. is a pastry shop.

So why the hell Cheesecake, etc. is my favorite drinking place? It's simply because they serve BEER!

Yup! You got that right! They serve liquors too. I'm not sure if they only sell liquors on their Eastwood City Walk branch, which is my favorite place by the way, but what I'm absolutely sure about is that this place is very cozy to have a drink or two.

I like the ambiance when I'm drinking here, sitting on their big sofa drinking beer in a huge mug (macho mug) while watching people walking along the city walk and listening to music playing on the other bar.

Cheesecake, etc. offers a lot of delicious cakes and pastries but we never order some of them. Instead we order their nachos who comes with 4 beers on a macho mug that costs 500+.

If you're just looking to chill, sit, and talk with your friends, this is the place for you to drink.

Budget P200+

2. The Reserve Liquor Lounge (City Golf Development Corp. Compound, Dona Julia Vargas Ave., Pasig City)

Now, if you want some loud music, girls dancing, some celebrities dropping by, and ready for some hefty price tag, then get your ass off here and party!

I describe this place as a semi-superclub where lots of people, especially the women, are dressed to kill.

So why do I like this place? Of course! They serve beers on a macho mug just like in Cheesecake, etc. Oh, they serve this on Quattro too, right? But that's another story.

So let's go back to the macho mug which they serve here at The Reserve Liquor Lounge. It's much expensive, though compared to Cheesecake, etc. but much loaded. Cheesecake, etc.'s macho mug contains 2 regular beers while TRLL's contains 3. They costs P100 and P160, respectively.

When it comes to the location, they need a lot of improvement like getting rid of the construction beside the bar which is really uncomfortable especially when it starts raining. Parking wise, it sucks! You need to get there early especially on a Friday and Saturday.

One last thing, though. I also noticed that when we go there to have a drink, I assume that we're the only ones who order that macho mug and the rest of them are drinking cocktails. SO WHAT!

You might see this guy regularly walking around the bar. (I think he owns this place. Not sure)

Not the person in the left! Look to the RIGHT!

Budget: P300+

3. Quattro Grill and Bar Restaurant (Timog Ave., Quezon City)

I wish I never...

Talking about macho mug, this is the place where I first experienced drinking on it.

This was my favorite place before, not until I learned about those 2 up there.

The place where you can just either hang around with your friends or listening to a live band.

There's this band called Sopiz who performs every Friday nights. The band plays almost every genre whether it's a cover from Kitchie Nadal, Paramore, Katy Perry or whatnot. They're really good, actually.

Also, there's been some UFCs (Unproportional Friendship and Companionship) going around talking to the band, especially to Catherine Go, vocalist of the band. Just sayin.

Anyway, everybody knows this place so I don't need to elaborate anymore details. Their nachos is really really good. Did I just say not to elaborate anymore details? But really, this is a fun place. So if you haven't tried this place yet, you're definitely missing out.

Catherine Go, vocalist of the band, Sopiz (left)

Don't mind the guy on the right side. He just love to take pictures with talented people and this place is so memorable to him.

Budget: 300+

Honorable mentions:

4. Yoo-Hoo Bar-B-Que (Metrowalk Complex)

Eat + Drink. Affordable Prices.

Budget: P100+

5. Uncle Moe's Shawarma Hub (Julia Vargas, Pasig City)

Kofta Balls is really good with beer.

Budget: 200+

So that's my 5 favorite drinking place. What's yours?

I know it's much more practical drinking at home instead of going out and spending a lot of money. It's not like we're doing this regularly. It's just that we need to move forward sometimes like meeting new people, have some fun, forget a lot of stuffs at home, and experience a lot of things.

I think it's about time we should extend the conversation to people outside our circle.

Make sense, right?
